IT DID NOT! i downloaded special software, updated drivers, tried 3 different types of cords(HDMI, VGA, and DVI-D) and NOTHING WORKED.Plug in the laptop and you're in business. To release, push a button and take the laptop with you. My only complain about it is that the audio jack is on the side while the other ports are on the rear. This is an issue because I use a KVM switch at home to toggle between the home PC desktop and my work laptop. However, the KVM cables have an audio cable. However, since audio out isn't next to the monitor, you have to stretch the cable. It works, but just barely. I would have rather seen a USB port on the side, although you can use the USB port on the laptop itself. Just when you need to plug in things like a Livescribe, memory stick, etc.I'm on a Latitude 5530. Thank you, seller!:)Also, the fact that docking stations remain compatible for a number of years, is a big plus. Besides the fact that you don't have to hassle around with all the connectors every time you connect your notebook at home, you get a number of additional connectors that cannot be found on the notebook itself. My system is a Dell Precision M4500.My only complaint is how far back it sits behind the laptop (makes for no room on my desk). I wish there was a way to adjust that but there isnt. But everything works great. It is used all day every day for work and havent had any issues. I run dual monitors along with many other attatchments on a Precision 7710 mobile station.http://www.remote-itsupport.co.uk/userfiles/fisher-paykel-dryer-manual-ed56.xmlWhy Alienware laptops don't have docking stations. It has replaced the 2 USB 2.0 connectors with the USB 3.0. Plus, the Display Port 1.2 adds the ability to daisy chain displays (4 displays via 1 connector). Also it offers an adaptor complexity reduction. It has non-compromise station designed for enhanced usability at desk. The E-Port Plus Port Replicator has 240-Watt Power Adapter Cord. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.Style: E-Port Plus Style: E-Port Plus Any returned computer that is damaged through customer misuse, is missing parts, or is in unsellable condition due to customer tampering will result in the customer being charged a higher restocking fee based on the condition of the product. Amazon Customer 2.0 out of 5 stars Needless to say I was disappointing once this product was received as without the cord it is useless. Title of item should have been updated to not mislead the customer. They look alike, however, but the performance is much different. I purchased the 130-watt version because it looked the same, had the same number of ports, and even said it supported the same kind of functionality, with the only real difference being that the 200-watt unit would allow you to daisy-chain a series of monitors off of it, while the 130-watt version said it would only support two additional monitors. But, what I found is that if you plug two monitors into this thing, it doesn't have enough power to run anything else. There is no power for a set of external speakers. There is no power for an external disk drive plugged into one of the USB ports. There isn't even enough power to plug an HP OfficeJet Printer into this thing. So, even though I have this very same port replicator, I have to plug some of my devices into the replicator and some of them into my laptop, because it simply does not have enough of power to support all the ports and all the functions in the Port Replicator. My advice is that you simply forget that there is any such thing as a 130-watt version of this Port Replicator and buy the 200-watt version from the start. If you are using the keyboard on the laptop instead of an external keyboard you may disconnect it from the port replicator. You can use either DVI or VGA connections on this port replicator. It offers more USB connectivity, so in that case it is nice to have for my laptop. It offers a cable lock hole, but to allow docking and undocking of the laptop (pressing the release) you have to have the cable lock installed with the level in the unlock position. The locked position does not allow for easy docking or undocking. The seller put together a good package with a new 130W power supply, and the unit looks new, but the cardboard box looks like it's been around.Have only had it for a couple of days, but so far everything works perfectly. The laptop's USB ports are only 2.0, but this replicator has 3.0 ports so that's a huge plus. I dock the laptop and plug in a regular keyboard, a mouse, and a large external monitor so this gives me a powerful desktop system, but when I need to have a portable system it's just a matter of un-docking it.Something like an E5470 will sit at a dangerous angle even with the spacer. I partially solved this issue by placing something under the E5470 to raise it up. As far as the ports go it works well. I'm using the two Display Port connections for a 4k and 2k monitor. The power button on the laptop turns on the dock so you don't have to lift the lid up. Undocking the laptop seems to be a pain. There might be a better way of doing it, but it was definitely optimized for the Latitudes with the older docking port design. It takes a lot of desk space because the laptop doesn't dock close to the back edge. It docks at the edge so you have the space of the laptop plus the space of the replicator.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Most customers receive within 5-7 days.I work for a large company and this docking station is similar to the one that it provides its workforce. I purchased the spacer separately to make alignment with the laptop easier. I used the power supply accompanying the unit and not the one I had with the unit replaced. There was a shipping issue with Newegg's affiliate IT Wholesalers. Newegg stepped right in to resolve the matter. Communications with both IT Wholesalers and Newegg were top notch. Thank you both!I was lucky the delivery happened on Saturday and I was able to pick it from the post office.I have Latitude E6440 and I've been using the older version (PR02x) which stopped charging the battery and I had to get a replacement. I received a brand new sealed box containing model 331-6304 and a charger - works great and I expect it to last. All of the new Dell Latitude laptops come with a spacer that is needed to use this product, so that the bottom connection port lines up correctly. Fortunately I kept all of them when our company bought the laptops, now that we needed a few of these docking stations. Has dual monitor support, but you will need to use Display Port or DVI. You can buy a Display Port to HDMI converter cable and that works great, and has no active converter needed. It comes with a beefy power supply, so users can take their original power supply with them. This unit has a built in spacer so the depth can vary depending on the age and make of your Latitude, but the newest laptops will still need the plastic spacer that came with the laptop, because the bottom connector is so close to the back edge of the laptop. Supports sound, USB 3, and has a LAN port. You can use this with the laptop closed or open. If it is closed, just hit the power button on the docking station to turn it on, IF you have an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard connected. If it is open, you can set it up to run the laptop monitor and two more external monitors, for a total of three displays. After that first incident, I started saving them.Newegg's price is well below any other source I could find. Works well with our Latitude E6440s.Bought this and a Dell S2715H monitor with built-in speakers as a prototype for docking E6440s. Dell Support chat agent insisted that a cable that would support video and audio on the same link would be included with the dock, but that was not correct.Click here for more details.
