(The traditional order for anatomy labs tends to be: introduction - histology - integumentary system - skeletal system - muscular system - nervous system - internal organ systems, but the order should reflect the order of the material presented in the lecture course.) No way to distinguish the skin of European-descended individuals from the skin of people of color was mentioned. I also like breaking down the lab activities into stations so students aren't too overwhelmed with too much information at once, and don't get bored or restless as they circulate around the room. To be fair, the rest of the manual is fairly helpful. I'm not an anatomist, I'm at a community college. I've never dissected a cat let alone know where muscles originate and insert. Give me more of a clue as to what's going on rather than just throwing paragraphs of text at me. If each step had a photo and a corresponding high detail drawing pointing out each muscle and where it originates and inserts, it would be worth using. As it stands, a PDF I downloaded has been more helpful and really, it's the same thing but with a drawing so I can more readily find different structures. Then again, it's a textbook, so what can I do. I shouldn't have bought it for the Kindle so I could sell it after.But, the detailed charts and pictures helped when it came to studying.
