No more remote mishaps that throw the girls into a tizzy when they accidentally hit it durning their favorite part of Disney's Frozen or the Trolls movie. No more searching desperately for the controller while it's tangled in the blankets and causing all sorts of havoc. It works perfectly so far and has made life much easier when it comes to the girl's entertainment time. Can't comment on durability as I haven't had it that long but if I run into issues I'll definitely update my review.This led to issues with being able to restart games, go back to the home screen, as well as changing discs of PS1 games such as Final Fantasy VII. This controller feels somewhat of a cheap build, but I don't believe it is likely to break any time soon. The type of usage this remote would typically get shouldn't be an issue in that regard. This is one of the most common uses for a remote, so I really wish that the volume controls were placed somewhere better. The build quality is acceptable. The major sign of cheapness is that some of the buttons, like the PS button, can be very squeaky when pressed. If it was weighted somehow or just designed so that picking it up you know you had it correctly would have been significantly better, especially when watching a movie with the lights off. As far as functions, it does what it's supposed to do, but when using it as a TV remote it may not function the way the original does (especially the 3D button for non-SONY 3D TVs).
